Recipes using Siddha Sanna Rice

Siddha Sanna rice Pulav


•          Siddha Sanna rice- 3 cups

•          Methi leaves- 2 bunches

•          Pudina- 1 small bunch

•          Onion-2 (sliced)

•          Green peas- 1/2 cup

•          Coconut milk- 1 cup

For Dry Grinding

•          Ginger-1 inch

•          Garlic- 4 gloves

•          Green chillies- 2 to 4

•          Cinnamon- 1 inch

•          Ghee- 4 tablespoon

•          Clove- 2

•          Bay leaf- 1

•          Lemon- 1

•          Marathi moggu/Kapok buds- 2


Wash, soak rice for 10 minutes and drain. Take one cooker, heat 3 tablespoon of ghee, put bay leaf, Marathi moggu, clove. Fry onions, green peas, dry ground ginger green chilli paste. Next chopped greens. When greens are done, add drained rice and fry for 2 minutes. Add salt, water (5 cups) and coconut milk. When water starts boiling, add 1 tablespoon of ghee and lemon juice. Close the lid and switch off after one whistle.
