Recipes using Pisini Rice

Pisini rice adai


  • Pisini arisi- 1 cup (200g)
  • Thoor dal, Moong dal, Urad dal, Bengal gram flour- 1/2 cup (100g) (Equal quantity of all flour)
  • Dried chillies- 2 nos
  • Asafoetida- 1/4 tsp
  • Salt- 3/4 tsp
  • Grated coconut-2 tbsp


Soak the rice and dal mixture for 5 hours and grind it coarse like semolina. Add dry chillies, asafoetida, salt and grated coconut to this. The dough is ready. Now add the ghee in dosa tava and make a crispy adai.
