Recipe using Sathi Rice

Sathi rice Rasiya


•    Milk- 1litre

•    Almonds- 8 to 10

•    Cashews- 8 to 10

•    Cardamom- 5 to 6

•    Sathi rice- 1/2 cup

•    Jaggery- 150 grams


Cut almonds and cashew into pieces and roast in ghee and keep aside. Soak half cup rice for 2 hours and later cook till soft. In a vessel boil milk and add cardamom powder and boil. When milk thickens add cooked rice and mix well. Keep on stirring the milk every 2 to 3 minutes. Melt jiggery in a separate vessel with half cup water and cook till it melts. Keep on cooking rice on medium heat. Remove kheer from flame and allow it to cool down, now pour jaggery through a strainer and mix it well with kheer. Garnish with roasted nuts and raisins and serve.
