Recipe using Kari Jedu Rice

Kari jeddu neer dosa


•    Red rice- 2 cup

•    Fresh coconut- 1/2 to 1 cup grated

•    Salt-1/4 tsp


Wash the rice and soak overnight. In the morning grind this rice into fine paste with added coconut, salt and water. Make the batter into portable consistency. Now keep iron tawa for heating. When it is hot apply oil, pour one serving spoon of batter and now close the lid. After 2 minutes remove the lid and keep the gas in simmer till the edges of the dosa rise a little. Now flip this dosa on the plate, leave for 2 minutes, then fold into half. Serve these dosa with coconut and grated jaggery mixture or coconut chutney.
